Flexible Spending Accounts offered by WVU allow you to put aside money - tax free - to cover medical or dependent care expenses. Reduce your taxable income and
keep more of your salary.
Benefit Choices:
Medical Spending Account
- Eligible expenses include: deductibles and coinsurance that are not covered by your medical, prescription, vision and dental plans; eyeglasses; and
eligible prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
Dependent Care Spending Account
- Eligible expenses include child, adult and elder care costs that allow you and your spouse to work or actively look for work are eligible for
reimbursement. If you are married, your spouse must work, be a full-time student or be mentally or physically incapable of self-care.
Coverage becomes effective on the first day of the month following enrollment.
