Classified employees will not be paid less than the position entry rate provided for by law, and options for employment above the entry rate are possible. Exceptions to the established wage will be considered for an applicant, and granted when properly justified and in the best operational interest of the University. The request and supporting information is to be provided in writing by the hiring supervisor to Human Resources for processing; the outcome will be confirmed in writing.
